Mount Corbitt
Robert Andrew Anderson (1860 – 1942) was born at
Mount Corbitt House in Churchtown. He was the first
Secretary and chief organiser of the Irish Co-Operative
Movement from 1894 to 1922. He died on Christmas
Day 1942 and is buried at Mount Jerome Cemetery
in Dublin.
The elegant and well-proportioned
stableyard has been restored retaining a strong sense of its original
character.
